Raikou wasn't even trying to fight, man, he was just presenting his thesis on why the Okiyo region's tax on rolling papers was basically a rug pull on the whole samurai class, when some old blade-swinger got tired of the vibe and folded his forearm like a bad hand at the table. There was a sound like a floor sweep on low liquidity, then Raikou just kind of blinked at the sky and thought, huh, guess the market corrected me. He didn't even scream, just exhaled real slow, said something about karma being a decentralized ledger that always settles, and passed out smiling with a joint still somehow lit between his fingers. Weeks later, arm in a sling shaped like a crooked katana, he swears the break humbled him, taught him patience, taught him to listen before he apes into an argument mouth first. Still argues with everyone about everything within a day of healing, still gets absolutely no respect from the dojo elders, but hey, discipline's a long-term hold and Raikou's strictly diamond-handed on enlightenment, even when the charts, and his bones, keep proving otherwise.
