They called him Fat Bob before he'd even earned it, and Fat Bob decided the honorable samurai thing to do was spend thirty years making the name unbearably accurate. At the Edo palace he once carved practice weapons from cheap wood, dreaming of steel commissions and a swordsmith's glory, only to have the master inspector take one look at his lumpy, warped bokken and laugh him clean out of the guild. Most men would call that the day their dreams shattered on the palace floor like cheap lacquer, but Bob just shrugged, patted his belly, and said the wood was probably undercooked anyway. Now he waddles into the ring still swinging splintery, ridiculous training swords, grinning like a man who lost everything and found snacks instead, and somehow those clumsy wooden strikes land harder than the real katana ever did. He still tells himself tomorrow he'll train seriously, eat clean, sit in disciplined meditation like the old masters, right after this one more plate of yakitori and a nap that stretches suspiciously into evening.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
The hour when most give up. The Blue Evening fighters are still at their desk, still watching the chart, still holding.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.

The most accurate names arrive from someone else — and Fat Bob's did, unkindly, long ago. He's spent every fight since proving whoever it was had a point.

Dark nature made structural. The Black Oni Horns fighters grew into something specific and let it show at the top.
