Before the name stuck to him like rice to a bowl, Fat Bob was a lean and hungry thing, a samurai who trained before dawn and dreamed of glory the way other men dream of dumplings. Ambition burned in him once, the kind that gets carved into legends, but somewhere between the last war ending and the first joint getting passed around the barracks, that fire mellowed into something softer, rounder, hungrier for different things. The night he finally caught Haruto on the palace roof, cornering the slippery bastard against the moonlit tiles after a chase that left them both gasping, Bob felt that old ambition flicker back to life just long enough to land the touch clean. He grinned so wide his cheeks nearly swallowed his eyes, utterly delighted with himself, already composing the story he'd tell at the tavern where he'd definitely exaggerate the height of the roof by several stories. He swore, as he always swore, that this victory meant he'd wake up early tomorrow and return to discipline, to training, to the lean hungry samurai he used to be, and as always the futon and a fresh bowl of something green would have other plans for him by noon.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Hidden in plain sight. The Night Forest fighters do most of their work in the dark — not secretively, but quietly. They don't need an audience.
