Fat Bob never picked the name, some drill sergeant of a sensei slapped it on him decades back, and he'd spent every year since proving the old man right, one dumpling and one dumb bet at a time. In Nagoya the wager was simple, degenerate math: lose the hand of cards, do the deed in public, everybody laughs, everybody goes home. Bob lost. Bob delivered, gloriously, shamelessly, right there under the neon like some ronin who'd traded his katana for a punchline, and the crowd howled while a small dead part of his samurai soul quietly filed for seppuku. He announced the ritual suicide with total sincerity the next morning, robe on, blade borrowed, dignity theoretically being restored, then got distracted by a floor-price alert on his phone and a vending machine that took crypto, and the seppuku got rescheduled to
