Diary
Fatty Bobsticks will tell you, loudly and often, that he is not Fat Bob's echo but Fat Bob's upgrade, a sequel with better graphics and worse impulse control, and he will tell you this while nursing knuckles split open on his own friend's bedframe. The fief, his fief, the one his ancestors bled rice paddies and honor to hold, got shoved across a futon like a poker chip because the dice looked hungry and so was he. He swung when the bet went sideways, not out of rage but principle, because a Bobsticks defends a wager the way a samurai once defended a gate, loudly, badly, with total conviction and zero strategy. Somewhere in the wreckage of his knuckles and his lineage he swore, again, that tomorrow he'd meditate, budget, maybe even fold a hand before it ruined him, and somewhere in that same breath he already knew tomorrow was a liar he'd never met. Regret never showed up to the party, so Fatty just grinned through the swelling and called it legacy, his own, thank you very much, not his old man's shadow at all.
Whose bones? The fighter who wears them knows. They're not saying. The Finger Bones fighters operate on a level of commitment that most find uncomfortable.
Bright but not loud. The Teal Daytime fighters are the ones you underestimate because they don't announce their arrival.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
The organization runs deep. The Yakuza Tattoo Sleeve fighters have commitments that predated the Dojo and will outlast it.
He exists in Fat Bob's extended universe — related, distinct, and absolutely exhausted by the comparison. Same build, same laugh, different problems. Do not, he begs you, get them confused.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Organization meets chaos. The Yakuza Hooligan fighters have discipline from one tradition and abandon from another, and they've combined them into something entirely their own.
Organization-issue. The Yakuza Club fighters have backup in the weight of the weapon itself — it carries institutional authority.
