Diary
Fatty Bobsticks did not inherit charisma, he says, he *farmed* it, one back alley conversation with Edmundo at a time, and if Fat Bob's shadow still lingers on the wall behind him, well, shadows don't pay rent. The old ronin discipline in him wanted a quiet dojo and a quieter mind, but the streets kept handing him mic time, and Fatty, ever the professional, accepted every open floor like it was airdropped straight to his wallet. He tells Edmundo he's retiring soon, going full monk, zero noise, maybe a little weed and a lot of silence, and Edmundo just nods the way you nod at a man who has said this for three straight moons. Somewhere in the telling Fatty's voice gets louder, his hands get bigger, and the quiet life gets rugged again by his own hype, because peace, it turns out, is one market he can never seem to ape into at the top. Still he swears next week is the week, chin up, mouth already moving, proving once more he is nothing like his old man's ghost, except in every single way that counts.
Without the gold. The Jesuit Crosses fighters have the same conviction but carry it lighter — the weight is in the belief, not the metal.
Royalty that refused the crown. The Purple Night backgrounds belong to fighters who could have been somewhere easier and chose not to be.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
No clothing needed. The Shirtless Runt fighters removed every layer between themselves and the fight. Maximum exposure. Maximum honesty.
He exists in Fat Bob's extended universe — related, distinct, and absolutely exhausted by the comparison. Same build, same laugh, different problems. Do not, he begs you, get them confused.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Nothing hidden. No armor above the neck. The Bald fighters face everything without cover and consider this the only honest approach.
Implies infirmity, delivers otherwise. The Wooden Walking Cane fighters move slower than expected and hit harder than prepared for.
