Diary
Fatty Bobsticks marched into the Darkness Festival looking for The Kingpin and a fight worthy of his name, not Fat Bob's name, thank you very much, and somewhere between the taiko drums and the third suspicious dumpling he found his true calling instead. He never landed the punch on Kingpin, the crowd swallowed him whole and spat him out enlightened, but he swears the near-brawl was the making of him and not some echo of his old man's old glory. Now he tells anyone who'll sit still, usually a raccoon or a very patient tree, that he's opening a self defense dojo, discipline first, no shadows allowed, especially not the fat shadow that keeps showing up in his stances. He drafts curriculum on festival napkins between bong rips, promises the first lesson is footwork and the second lesson is also footwork because he forgot the first one, and insists loudly to nobody that this whole reinvention was entirely his own idea. Fat Bob never taught him a thing, he'll tell you, right before absentmindedly doing Fat Bob's exact stretching routine.”
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Bright but not loud. The Teal Daytime fighters are the ones you underestimate because they don't announce their arrival.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Comfort and culture combined. The Sushi Love Loose Kimono fighters dress for the life they're building, not the fight they're in.
He exists in Fat Bob's extended universe — related, distinct, and absolutely exhausted by the comparison. Same build, same laugh, different problems. Do not, he begs you, get them confused.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
The farmer's crown. The Rice Hat fighters carry tradition on their head without ceremony — it's just what you wear when you have work to do.
The poisonous pufferfish as a weapon. The Frightened Fugu fighters chose something lethal that looks absurd — and find that this is the most accurate description of themselves.
