Diary
Fatty Bobsticks did not inherit Fat Bob's temper, he insists, he simply rents a bigger one, and at the Dojo that afternoon he unleashed it on every graybeard samurai still clinging to bushido like it was a winning bag he refused to sell. Words flew faster than his sake-soaked wisdom could catch them, comparisons were made, ancestors were insulted, someone's topknot was called "exit liquidity," and by the time the sake fog cleared Fatty realized he'd rugged his own reputation in under a minute. Now he paces the courtyard at dusk, gut leading the way, muttering about the discipline seminar he swears he'll attend next moon, the one Fat Bob's shadow always finishes and he always skips for one more bowl. He tells himself a real sequel doesn't need the original's approval, and yet some nights he catches himself asking what could have been if he'd held his tongue the way he once held a blade. Still, he shrugs, apologizes to no one, and orders another round, because legends aren't built on regret, they're built on volume, and Fatty Bobsticks has never once been quiet.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Neither dark nor white. The Light Grey background belongs to fighters who operate in the space between certainties and have made it comfortable there.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Not quite there yet. The Warlock Wannabe fighters are in the process of becoming something more — and the gap between aspiration and arrival is where they live.
He exists in Fat Bob's extended universe — related, distinct, and absolutely exhausted by the comparison. Same build, same laugh, different problems. Do not, he begs you, get them confused.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Mastery without ceremony. The Kung Fu Master fighters stopped needing to prove the title long before anyone stopped asking for proof.
Used and not cleaned. The Bloody Nunchucks fighters are efficient — cleaning was someone else's job and they had the next fight to prepare for.
