Diary
Fatty Bobsticks strutted into the gambling house like a man with something to prove, mostly to a shadow that wasn't even there, the ghost of Fat Bob he swore up and down he was nothing like. He found The Degen Scholar hunched over a dice game, spouting ancient wisdom about discipline and floor prices in the same breath, and Fatty, ever the debater, leaned in to argue philosophy with a mouth full of opinions he had no business having. The Scholar's counterpoint came fast and blunt, knuckles first, and two teeth went skittering across the mahjong table like they were aped into a bad trade. Bleeding, grinning wide with his new gap, Fatty declared this the greatest education of his life and vowed then and there to write it all down, birthing the first drunken pages of the Degen Handbook, chapter one titled simply
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Unclear until it clears. The Grey Mist backgrounds belong to fighters who operate where others can't see, and use that fog as their advantage.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
He exists in Fat Bob's extended universe — related, distinct, and absolutely exhausted by the comparison. Same build, same laugh, different problems. Do not, he begs you, get them confused.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Focus made visible. The Karate Headband fighters bound their intention around their skull so it couldn't escape during the fight.
Not metaphorical. Someone's leg bone, spiked. The Spiky Femur fighters have been here long enough that the bones of their enemies are now equipment.
