Diary
Igor The Bear once held a fief the old way, slow taxes, slow harvests, slow honor, the kind of weight that took generations to build and one bad night to lose. He aped his lands into a single hand out in the grey mists, some cursed table where the fog itself seemed to be dealing, and watched centuries of discipline get rugged in the time it takes a coin to land. Tainted now, too heavy with shame to leave and too stubborn to die, he did what bears do when the den collapses: he built a worse one, dirtier, louder, his own crooked gambling house where the dice are as loaded as his conscience. Every morning he swears this is the day he closes it down, meditates, returns to the old ways, and every morning he ends up leaning his enormous bulk against the door frame instead, growling at cheats, too slow to start the walk toward virtue and too immovable to ever finish it. He tells himself the house always wins, but underneath the mass and the mist and the grey, something in him still keeps the score.”
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Unclear until it clears. The Grey Mist backgrounds belong to fighters who operate where others can't see, and use that fog as their advantage.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
The blue Oni does not rage. The blue Oni waits. The Blue Oni Tattoo fighters are the calmest ones in the room — which makes them the most dangerous.
Built like a landslide — weight, physical and otherwise, the kind that can't be lifted, only rolled. In the wars you pointed him at a problem; now the stillness is the problem.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Royal helmet. The Golden Kabuto fighters wear sovereignty on their head — not claimed, but expressed through every move they make.
A live chicken. As a weapon. The Chicken fighters have committed to an approach that nobody expected and found that unexpectedness is half the battle.
