Up on Mount Koriyoka the wind moves faster than Igor The Bear ever will, and that has always been the point. He decided, in the slow geological way he decides everything, that a samurai without a pressed kimono is just a sad man with a sword, so he set the iron down and went to work like a glacier with a grudge. Three hours later the kimono was somehow worse, his knuckles were split and weeping, and the iron itself looked like it had lost a fight it never agreed to enter, but Igor did not stop, because Igor does not know how. The other fighters found him still at it past midnight, muttering about creases and floor prices in the same breath, one hand wrapped in a bandana, the other still gripping the handle like it owed him money. They call him a lunatic now, and he does not argue, he just nods slow, lights a little something to take the sting off, and irons on, a mountain of a man losing a small unwinnable war against wrinkles and himself.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Unclear until it clears. The Grey Mist backgrounds belong to fighters who operate where others can't see, and use that fog as their advantage.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
No fixed allegiance. The Mercenary fighters fight for whoever offers the right terms and have never lost a battle when those terms were met.
Built like a landslide — weight, physical and otherwise, the kind that can't be lifted, only rolled. In the wars you pointed him at a problem; now the stillness is the problem.
Traditional, ornamented. The Shoji Tassel Glasses fighters dress their perception in ceremony — seeing is a ritual for them, not a reflex.
Ceremony interrupted. The Disheveled Geisha fighters started something formal and ended something entirely different.
Not metaphorical. Someone's leg bone, spiked. The Spiky Femur fighters have been here long enough that the bones of their enemies are now equipment.
