Igor The Bear moved through Kyoto's back alleys the way glaciers move through mountains, slow, certain, unbothered by weather or opinion, until he stopped at the local shrine to pay respects the old samurai way, kneeling with the creak of a man who used to fold in half without complaint. The elders lined up along the steps, wrinkled and merciless, and when Igor bowed low enough they let fly with the kind of spit only decades of grudges can brew, and two teeth went skittering across the stone like dice nobody wanted to claim. He did not flinch, did not rise fast, just sat there absorbing it the way he absorbs everything, a boulder taking rain, thinking about discipline and how it used to mean something before it meant chewing carefully and drinking through a straw. Now he trains at the dojo with a gap in his grin, slower to start than ever, impossible to stop once he gets moving, muttering that missing teeth just mean more room for the weed smoke to circulate. He tells the young fighters that respect is earned in silence, then goes quiet for so long they think he's finished the lesson, when really he's just still getting started.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
