Diary
Igor The Bear used to move like avalanche, slow to wake but nothing on this earth could stop him once he started, and once his honor was the same way: unshakable, glacial, absolute. Then came the Hidden Teahouse, where he sat cross-legged for hours doing the one thing no bear should ever attempt, arranging his thoughts, and somewhere between his third cup and his ninth existential crisis he realized meditation and momentum do not mix. He tainted his own code that day, not with a blade or a betrayal but with quiet contemplation, and it sat in him heavier than any of the sake ever had. Now he is retired, officially, from swords and sins alike, though his idea of discipline these days is grunting awake at noon, staring at a floor that has fallen out from under him, and deciding tomorrow is a fine day to start being disciplined again. Tomorrow, as always, moves slower than Igor does.'
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Unclear until it clears. The Grey Mist backgrounds belong to fighters who operate where others can't see, and use that fog as their advantage.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Soft exterior. The Puppy Kimono fighters discovered that disarming presentation is its own strategy — you stop seeing the threat until it's too late.
Built like a landslide — weight, physical and otherwise, the kind that can't be lifted, only rolled. In the wars you pointed him at a problem; now the stillness is the problem.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Clean but rough. The White Ruffian fighters look like they could have behaved properly and chose not to. The white makes the choice more visible.
Found. Not forged. The Large Branch fighters don't wait for the right weapon — they use what's available and are surprised when this needs explanation.
