These days he sits behind a low table in a smoke-fogged den that smells like weed and bad decisions, running dice games rigged just enough that only he ever really floors it big. He tells himself every morning he's done with all this, going back to discipline, back to the mats, and every night he's still there anyway, immovable as ever, just aimed at the wrong thing now.
