These days the wars are over and the only sensei left is a half-empty bottle and a floor that keeps dumping like his old master's temper, yet he still bows to it out of habit. He tries discipline the way he tried it back then, one grim rep at a time, and loses to the edible before the second set, muttering that even good men get rugged by their own knees. Still he sits with his tea going cold, staring past the walls, wondering what kind of man tomorrow will shout him into being.
