Igor The Veteran does not raise his voice, not at the fish market, not anywhere, which is precisely why the old women there leaned in close when he started talking about who owed who and who was rugged on a squid shipment. He meant to just observe, the way a soldier observes a battlefield, but the words came out of him like blood from an old wound and by sundown half the docks were at each other's throats over nothing. He does not regret much out loud, but he regrets that. Now he stands where the boats used to unload, selling the only inventory he has left, himself, his silence, his stillness, ten minutes of a man who used to command a hundred swords for whatever coin someone will float him. He tells himself discipline is a blade you sharpen daily, then he does not sharpen anything for a week, and when someone finally asks him what happened to the great Igor, the room goes quiet, because that is the one gossip he will never spread himself.
Decorative. Traditional. The Tassel fighters know that ornament and function are not opposites — presentation is part of performance.
Lived-in color. The Warm Grey background belongs to fighters who have been through enough that their edges have softened without their core changing.

The other Igor — the lean one, who earned the word Veteran inside the dojo rather than bringing it with him. He's never explained what it refers to, and nobody's asked twice.
