They say Junichiro Reborn died once, quietly, somewhere between the temple bell and the last cup of sake, and that the man who woke up wore his face like a rented mask. Before the wars ended he was disciplined, a blade kept honest by ritual, but legend prefers the version where he passed out among priests in the open street, robes tangled with theirs, incense smoke mixing with the smell of cheap plum wine, and woke to find himself worshipped for it. He tells it now with the stillness of a man reciting scripture, half apology, half brag, letting the myth grow fangs he never intended it to have. Every dawn he vows to meditate before the first drink, to greet the sun instead of a hangover, and every dawn the vow rugs him softly, like a floor that was never really there. He knows better now, he says, calm as still water, and somewhere in that calm you can hear the old samurai laughing at how little that knowledge has changed.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
