Diary
They say Junichiro Reborn died once, briefly, and came back with his blade arm steady but his mouth looser than any monk's should be, and at the Hidden Teahouse he put both to use arguing sword theory with graying samurai who still believed in things like honor and closing tabs. He'd take a long pull from whatever was rolled and passed his way, exhale slow through the calm of a man who's already seen the other side, and dismantle their footwork philosophies between sips of lukewarm sencha. The old swordsmen called it disrespect; Junichiro called it sparring, the kind that sharpens without bleeding, and somehow he left every session a little faster, a little meaner, a little more unbothered by the concept of death. He still tells himself he'll cut the weed and the wagers once he's
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Bright but not loud. The Teal Daytime fighters are the ones you underestimate because they don't announce their arrival.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Named for what it abandoned. The No Honor Kimono fighters gave up on the codes others follow and found that this freed them completely.
He walked into something that should have ended him and walked back out with the same name and none of the same conditions. Nobody agrees what happened out there, and he's in no hurry to explain.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Practical. Focused. The Hair Bun fighters pulled back what was in their eyes so they could see the whole board.
Implies infirmity, delivers otherwise. The Wooden Walking Cane fighters move slower than expected and hit harder than prepared for.
