They say Junichiro Reborn died once, briefly, and came back with better posture and worse decisions, a fact he mentions the way other men mention their birthday. It was in a sake house, of all temples, that the second death nearly took him again: he sat cross legged, spine straight as a shrine gate, staring at a single patch of grass through the paper window while his heart quietly detonated over someone who never even sat across from him. He did not weep. He did not gamble it away that night, which for him is practically a vow of celibacy. Instead he simply watched the grass bend in the wind and decided, with the calm of a man rewriting his own scripture, that this was the most disciplined heartbreak in recorded history, and he tells the story now like a monk recounting enlightenment, chest out, sake untouched beside him, already losing the small daily war to not touch it again tomorrow.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
