They say Junichiro died once, briefly, somewhere between a lost duel and a lost weekend, and came back with the calm of a man who has already seen the worst punchline. He still keeps a training schedule pinned to the wall, meditation at dawn, blade drills at dusk, discipline reborn alongside him, though most mornings he wakes at noon smelling like weed and mercy, grinning at the ceiling like it's in on the joke. He is happier for it, he'll tell you, serene as a man who has already been rugged by fate and floored the house, and simply decided that was fine.
