They say Junichiro died once, briefly, and came back wearing the same face but none of the same rules, and he never corrects the story because honestly, who's to say. The warrior version of him was born at sunrise outside Kanazawa, when he held a photograph over his oldest friend's head and said, calmly, almost kindly, that friendship and leverage were not mutually exclusive. He got his blade, his reputation, his little myth, and he has spent every morning since vowing, with the same eerie stillness, to be a better man than the one who did that. Worn deliberately. The Nails fighters made choices with their appearance that most would call unconventional and they would call honest.
Bright but not loud. The Teal Daytime fighters are the ones you underestimate because they don't announce their arrival.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
He walked into something that should have ended him and walked back out with the same name and none of the same conditions. Nobody agrees what happened out there, and he's in no hurry to explain.
