Diary
They say Junichiro Reborn died once on Mount Haku, and the man who walked down was only wearing the same face. Up there he had gone in rich, armor gleaming with old koku and older pride, and he had ended a skirmish with frightened villagers that history politely calls a battle and he calls, with a small smile, an awakening. The gold went first, spent on lawyers, shrines, silence, whatever it takes to make civilians forget a samurai's blade, and somewhere in that ruin he noticed he liked the ruin, liked the clean high terror of it more than he ever liked coin. Now he sits at the Dojo tables with nothing left but myth and calm, betting borrowed chips like a monk counting prayer beads, telling anyone who'll listen that enlightenment and bankruptcy taste exactly the same going down. He still lights incense every morning, still bows to a discipline he abandoned on that mountain, and every night the discipline bows back and leaves without him.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Neither dark nor white. The Light Grey background belongs to fighters who operate in the space between certainties and have made it comfortable there.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
The red Oni rages where the blue Oni waits. The Red Oni Tattoo fighters run hot and they are at peace with this.
He walked into something that should have ended him and walked back out with the same name and none of the same conditions. Nobody agrees what happened out there, and he's in no hurry to explain.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
After. The Messy fighters' hair tells you what happened — not what they planned, but what they went through.
Ceremonial. The Shaman Soup fighters bring ritual to combat — the soup is prepared according to tradition and served at room temperature.
