On a morning thick with mist, someone screamed in Junichiro Reborn's face to test his will, and he simply smiled the smile of a man who has already died once and found the whole business of being alive again quietly funny. Shouting hits different when you've heard true silence on the other side of it, and Junichiro let the noise pass through him like fog through a bamboo grove, untouched, faintly amused, still standing. In that dew-soaked clarity he decided his second life needed purpose, so he resolved to teach self defence, to hand down whatever strange calm let him survive both death and decibels. Naturally the first lesson he tried teaching himself was patience, and naturally he lost that fight within the hour, cursing a vending machine that ate his last coin like it had personally violated his bushido. He still tells prospective students the mist made him who he is now, leaving out the part where he also once wept over a dog that looked at him wrong.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Hidden in plain sight. The Night Forest fighters do most of their work in the dark — not secretively, but quietly. They don't need an audience.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Sovereignty in fabric form. The Queeny Chic fighters dress with authority that was never granted by anyone else and therefore can't be revoked.
He walked into something that should have ended him and walked back out with the same name and none of the same conditions. Nobody agrees what happened out there, and he's in no hurry to explain.
Traditional, ornamented. The Shoji Tassel Glasses fighters dress their perception in ceremony — seeing is a ritual for them, not a reflex.
The tiger, bound. The Tiger Headband Ruffian fighters contain something predatory with a strip of cloth and consider this sufficient.
Used and not cleaned. The Bloody Nunchucks fighters are efficient — cleaning was someone else's job and they had the next fight to prepare for.
