Diary
On a misty morning outside the walls of Sekigahara, Junichiro killed a man without breaking eye contact with Oleg, and something in him thrilled at the quiet of it, the way the fog swallowed the sound. He tells the story now like it happened to someone else, someone he used to be, someone he buried and dug back up for the punchline. These days he apes into hands he should fold and calls it discipline, insisting that a man who has already died once cannot really lose. He keeps a wooden practice sword by the door and swears he will drill at dawn, but dawn keeps finding him at the tables instead, grinning like the joke is on all of them. The old Junichiro would have been ashamed; the reborn one just orders another round and waits to feel that quiet again.
Simple. Carved. Someone made this by hand. The Wooden Loop fighters wear something made, not bought, and consider that a statement worth making.
Royalty that refused the crown. The Purple Night backgrounds belong to fighters who could have been somewhere easier and chose not to be.
Worn by the 42 Framed and no one else. A Dojocho (道場長) runs the dojo, and red is the belt you stop counting toward. Framed cards never crack, so this one never comes off.
He walked into something that should have ended him and walked back out with the same name and none of the same conditions. Nobody agrees what happened out there, and he's in no hurry to explain.
Organization ink made visible. The Black Yakuza Sleeves fighters belong to something — a code, a history — and they advertise their membership without speaking.
Still functional. Functionally broken. The Broken Glasses fighters see a cracked version of reality and have found it more honest than the uncracked one.
Elevated tradition. The High Straw Rice Hat fighters dress high above their own heads — everything they do is reaching upward.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,468 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
A live chicken. As a weapon. The Chicken fighters have committed to an approach that nobody expected and found that unexpectedness is half the battle.
