Junichiro once measured a blade's edge to the width of a rice grain, and now he measures the crooked lines of the tattoo some back-alley artist rugged him with the same merciless eye, cataloguing every wobble like a ledger of shame. The ink came the same week he crossed the one line a samurai never crosses, drawing steel against his own superior as the man slept, a decision he replays nightly with the precision of a man auditing a failed trade. He tells himself it was honor, tells himself it was discipline avenging some slight, but the truth sits colder: it was pride, unrefined and unaped, striking before it thought. These days he tries to meditate at dawn, incense lit, spine straight, only to find his knee bouncing, his mind drifting to floor prices and old grudges, proof that the boy who once corrected his teacher's calligraphy still can't sit still long enough to correct himself. He grades his own failure the way he grades everyone else's, an A for effort, an F for control, and files it away next to the tattoos he can't stop staring at in the mirror each morning, wondering if precision ever really left him or just found a worse, funnier way to fail.

'Junichiro' — pure first son, the standard the others are measured against, usually by Junichiro himself. Flawless form, cleanest blade, a line that held because he'd sooner die than break it.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Wild, electrified. The Zapachi fighters' hair moves independently and the fighter has accepted that this is appropriate.
The other fish weapon. The Dead Fish fighters use something that smells like loss as a weapon — opponents are too confused to defend properly.
