One-Eyed Itsuki lost his depth perception in a war nobody talks about anymore, but he never lost the ability to read a room, and the room at the Dojo always tells him to fold. He doesn't. Savings that once meant rice for a winter now ride the dice like they've got somewhere better to be, and each loss lands with the same flat calm he once reserved for reading an enemy's stance. He tells himself discipline is a muscle he's simply resting, the way a blade rests before it's needed, though the blade in question hasn't seen honest work in months. His family still thinks he's saving for a roof; he is, technically, saving for the roof of whatever bar he's currently underwater in, and with one eye he somehow still sees the whole sad math of it twice as clearly as anyone with two.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
The hour when most give up. The Blue Evening fighters are still at their desk, still watching the chart, still holding.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
