One-Eyed Itsuki lost his left eye to a war nobody remembers winning, and he swears the trade was fair, since the one that's left never lies to him and never blinks at nonsense. He'd promised himself a season of discipline, cold water at dawn, rice and nothing else, the old katas run until his knees forgave him, but that vow lasted exactly as long as it took to smell fish cakes frying in the filthiest izakaya in the district. The place had a floor stickier than a rugged token chart and a chef who looked like he'd aped his whole life savings into fry oil, yet the first bite hit Itsuki like satori wearing a apron. Something in that grease and salt reorganized his spine, and he walked out into the night seeing the whole crooked world in sharper focus than any temple ever taught him, one eye doing the work of two. He hasn't touched brown rice since, hasn't missed his old discipline much either, and figures a man who's found peace in a dirty bowl of fish cakes was never going to be a monk anyway.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Military patience. The Olive Green fighters do not announce themselves. They wait. Then they move.
