One-Eyed Itsuki once stood beneath a courtesan's lantern-lit window with a borrowed shamisen and a heart full of bad decisions, singing off-key promises he had zero collateral to back. She listened for exactly one verse before closing the shutters, which Itsuki still calls the fastest rug pull in Edo history. He walked home that night minus a heart and a shamisen string, but plus a strange, weightless calm, the kind you only get when the market finally liquidates you and there's nothing left to lose. These days he swears he's done chasing anything that can reject him, right up until some new geisha or fresh-minted token catches his good eye and he's back composing love songs at 3am like discipline was ever real. He calls it freedom. His missing eye calls it a pattern.
Simple. Carved. Someone made this by hand. The Wooden Loop fighters wear something made, not bought, and consider that a statement worth making.
Military patience. The Olive Green fighters do not announce themselves. They wait. Then they move.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
