One-Eyed Itsuki lost the other eye to time, not war, and he likes to say the trade was fair since the half he kept sees twice as clean. The palace roof duel with Junichiro was supposed to be a quiet settling of scores under moonlight, but it turned into a drunken slap-fight broadcast to half the courtyard, tiles cracking, honor draining out like sake from a punctured jug. He tells himself he's rebuilding his name one disciplined sunrise at a time, meditation at dawn, blade drills at dusk, no distractions, and then somehow it's noon and he's three bowls of weed deep watching his floor price get rugged on a phone he swore he'd throw in the moat. Still, ask him about it and he just shrugs with that one good eye steady as a held breath:
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Hidden in plain sight. The Night Forest fighters do most of their work in the dark — not secretively, but quietly. They don't need an audience.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Left the order. Didn't stop fighting. The Dejen Apostate fighters broke from whatever school trained them and found that the training stayed anyway.
'Itsuki' — a tree, deep roots and one straight trunk. He lost the eye in a story he tells four different ways depending on how much he likes you, and what's left sees more than most manage with two.
Fox face. The Kitsune Mask fighters wear the shapeshifter's face — which means every identity is available to them and none is fixed.
Mastery without ceremony. The Kung Fu Master fighters stopped needing to prove the title long before anyone stopped asking for proof.
