Diary
One-Eyed Itsuki sees half the world twice as clearly, which is exactly the problem when the half you can see is The Bearded Bandit trying to teach candlestick patterns in a parking lot at two in the morning, breath fogging over a busted whiteboard propped on a folding chair. He'd once trained under masters who spoke in silence and struck in stillness; now he was out in the cold learning about "support levels" from a man who smelled like spilled sake and unfiltered ambition, and something in his one good eye finally gave out. He didn't yell. He simply closed his ledger, folded the whiteboard shut on the Bandit's fingers with the calm of a man ending a duel, and walked into the night without looking back. These days he tells anyone who asks that he's retired from that life, though his hands still itch toward the phone at 3 a.m. charts, a losing fight for discipline he wages quietly and loses just as quietly every single time. Steady as a mountain, half-blind and fully done, Itsuki just shrugs and says the market can rug someone else's second eye.”
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Lived-in color. The Warm Grey background belongs to fighters who have been through enough that their edges have softened without their core changing.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Half the statement. The Skull Sleeve fighters communicate their philosophy in one arm — the other arm is for whatever needs doing next.
'Itsuki' — a tree, deep roots and one straight trunk. He lost the eye in a story he tells four different ways depending on how much he likes you, and what's left sees more than most manage with two.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Clean but rough. The White Ruffian fighters look like they could have behaved properly and chose not to. The white makes the choice more visible.
Found. Not forged. The Large Branch fighters don't wait for the right weapon — they use what's available and are surprised when this needs explanation.
