Raikou used to move like lightning under the old dojo banners, all discipline and thunder, before the wars ended and the vice took root like weed in a temple garden. These days he slouches into the gambling house at Kanazawa with half-lidded eyes, tossing out a soft little fish for compliments the way old masters once cast lines for koi, patient, deadpan, expecting the pond to sing his name. The degens at the table nibble the bait, mutter something about his 'sick reads,' and Raikou just nods slow, like a monk absorbing a koan, feeling his confidence tick up one notch on some invisible leaderboard only he can see. But the high fades fast, the same way his floor price on self-respect keeps dipping, and he exhales a long breath that smells like regret and kush, muttering 'uninspiring, man, truly uninspiring' as if enlightenment itself got rugged. He meant to walk out disciplined, meditative, samurai-still. Instead he orders another round, loses another hand, and calls it balance.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Neither dark nor white. The Light Grey background belongs to fighters who operate in the space between certainties and have made it comfortable there.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
It's been that kind of day. The Bloody Mess clothing doesn't mean the fighter lost — it means they were in it deep enough that cleanliness became irrelevant.
'Raikou' — lightning light. He moved slow and easy right up until the instant he didn't, and then it was over. These days he's mostly slow, and swears the smoke helps him think.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
The Dojo's version of a mohawk. More specific, more named. The Dejen Mohawk fighters chose the Dojo's interpretation of rebellion over the generic one.
