Diary
Raikou was deep in the shaman's lair, vibing on the sacred bugjuice fumes, watching his beetle grind for dominance like it was farming yield on some ancient chain, when a rat rugged the whole ceremony out of nowhere. Old instincts he thought he'd sold off with his katana woke up faster than his own reflexes, and before the dude could even process it, the rat was skewered and the beetle match was declared null and void by forces beyond his control. He sat there afterward, blade still humming with that dojo muscle memory, thinking damn, discipline really do be lurking in the mist like a whale wallet nobody notices till it dumps. Now he's telling everyone at the lair he's writing a book about it, something like The Tao of the Rat, pure alpha, gonna change lives, though he hasn't actually opened his notebook because the pages keep getting used as rolling trays. Still, he says the wisdom is loading, low and slow, just like everything else about him, and honestly the universe seems chill with the wait.”
A paper earring from the Dojo itself. Fragile. Replaceable. The fighters who wear them understand that what looks disposable can last forever.
Red moon, heightened stakes. The Red High Moon backgrounds mark the moments when everything was on the line and the fighter stayed.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Unglamorous and honest. The Black Peasant Sack fighters didn't dress for anyone else. They dressed for function and found that function is its own statement.
'Raikou' — lightning light. He moved slow and easy right up until the instant he didn't, and then it was over. These days he's mostly slow, and swears the smoke helps him think.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Aged. Sharp. The Short Spiky Grey fighters have been here long enough for color to leave — and found that what remained is more pointed than before.
