They say Raikou once stood among the sharpest blades in the province, back when honor still meant something and his hands never shook. Then came the night at the local yakiniku, where between the grill smoke and one too many rounds he drifted off into a lazy daydream of glory that never came, and by the time he blinked back to earth his respectability had quietly rugged him. He tells everyone he is chasing enlightenment now, moving slow like a cloud until, allegedly, he strikes like lightning, but mostly he just apes into another bag of weed and mutters about the discipline he keeps meaning to reclaim tomorrow. He has not forgiven himself for that daydream, and no, brother, he never will. Somewhere under all that haze the samurai is still awake, floor-bound and stubborn, waiting for a strike that keeps arriving one heartbeat too late.
One tooth. The whole shark is implied. The Shark Tooth fighters don't need to explain what they've overcome — they wear the evidence.
Hidden in plain sight. The Night Forest fighters do most of their work in the dark — not secretively, but quietly. They don't need an audience.
'Raikou' — lightning light. He moved slow and easy right up until the instant he didn't, and then it was over. These days he's mostly slow, and swears the smoke helps him think.
The blue Oni does not rage. The blue Oni waits. The Blue Oni Tattoo fighters are the calmest ones in the room — which makes them the most dangerous.
Born from the collection itself. The Degen generation Framed fighters came up through the ranks — they were regular fighters who crossed the threshold and were transformed by it.
Demon woman, half revealed. The Hannya Half Mask fighters show the monstrous half and keep the human half private.
Tied before the fight. The Green Bandana fighters have a ritual of preparation — the bandana is how they mark the transition.
Organization-issue. The Yakuza Club fighters have backup in the weight of the weapon itself — it carries institutional authority.
