Raikou sat cross-legged in the steam of the onsen like a man who'd already achieved enlightenment, or at least a really good buzz, right up until the moment he decided to betray his master over a dispute about whose turn it was to roll the next one. The old man moved like water, which is to say Raikou never saw the counter coming, and his arm folded backward with a crack that echoed off the wet stone tiles louder than any gong at any temple he'd ignored. He floated there afterward, arm useless, bones humming like a detuned shamisen, and had what he still describes as his most profound realization: nothing matters, everything is temporary, and also he was very high. Now he tells anyone who'll listen that all his dreams have come true, that a broken arm was the floor he needed to finally touch before he could ape into his own liberation. He still practices his forms every morning, slow, deliberate, occasionally backward, chasing the discipline he swears he's about to catch any day now, bro, any day now.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Unclear until it clears. The Grey Mist backgrounds belong to fighters who operate where others can't see, and use that fog as their advantage.

'Raikou' — lightning light. He moved slow and easy right up until the instant he didn't, and then it was over. These days he's mostly slow, and swears the smoke helps him think.
Authority through opacity. The Dark Spectacles fighters reveal nothing through their eyes and receive everything through them.
After. The Messy fighters' hair tells you what happened — not what they planned, but what they went through.
