Diary
Raikou stood in the street like a monk mid-koan, half a joint dangling from his lips, eyes locked on Oleg in the kind of stillness monks charge tuition for, and somewhere in that cosmic pause his own spit betrayed him and landed square on an innocent bystander who had wandered too close to his aura. The crowd gasped, Oleg blinked, and Raikou just nodded slow, like the universe itself had signed off on the incident, muttering "that's on the blockchain now, no undo button, ser." He used to have brothers in arms who'd die on a sword for him, real bushido energy, now his group chat is full of paper-handed apes who ghost the second the floor dips. So he's decided, right there mid dead-stare with Oleg, that he's done aping into low-quality friendships, he wants a whole new alpha group, higher IQ degenerates, better vibes, minimum one shared brain cell. He'll get there eventually, probably after this blunt, definitely after the next one, discipline's a long roadmap and Raikou's still stuck on the whitepaper.
Heavier than gold. Less prestigious. More honest. The Iron Earring fighters chose function over signal and consider that to be the signal.
Red moon, heightened stakes. The Red High Moon backgrounds mark the moments when everything was on the line and the fighter stayed.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Blade pattern. The Katana Kimono fighters understand that what you wear signals what you expect — and they expect a fight.
'Raikou' — lightning light. He moved slow and easy right up until the instant he didn't, and then it was over. These days he's mostly slow, and swears the smoke helps him think.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Tied before the fight. The Green Bandana fighters have a ritual of preparation — the bandana is how they mark the transition.
The other fish weapon. The Dead Fish fighters use something that smells like loss as a weapon — opponents are too confused to defend properly.
