Raikou tells anyone who'll listen that the snakes at the Edo palace were basically a rug pull disguised as a wellness retreat, and honestly the trauma checks out. He went in for a chill soak, third eye open, chakras allegedly aligned, and came out having aped into a bathtub full of vipers who did not consent to his energy. Seven nights later he still hasn't slept, just sits cross legged mumbling about impermanence while his eyes twitch like a chart that's about to get liquidated. He keeps telling himself discipline is a state of mind, packs another bowl to prove it, and somehow that's the least enlightened move he's made all week. Underneath the haze there's an old samurai who used to master fear for breakfast, now just floor bidding on eight hours of sleep and getting rejected every single night.
