Raikou once believed a samurai's discipline could be rebuilt one sunrise at a time, so he knelt at dawn behind the dojo, incense curling like some ancient candle chart, and decided the path to enlightenment ran straight through a mountain of wasabi. He aped in hard, no cap, three whole spoonfuls before his brain even loaded the whitepaper on what wasabi actually does to a man's face. For one shimmering second he felt like a floor was being set, status green-candling upward, chi awakening, ancestors nodding in approval from the great blockchain in the sky. Then the heat rugged him completely, eyes flooding, nostrils screaming past resistance levels, dignity dumping faster than a shitcoin at 4am, and he rolled backward into the koi pond still whispering
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Unclear until it clears. The Grey Mist backgrounds belong to fighters who operate where others can't see, and use that fog as their advantage.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Kept from the harvest. The Dried Straw fighters dress in what's left after everything useful has been taken — and have discovered this is plenty.
'Raikou' — lightning light. He moved slow and easy right up until the instant he didn't, and then it was over. These days he's mostly slow, and swears the smoke helps him think.
Paper screen optics. The Shoji Glasses fighters see the world through traditional frames — and find that the tradition holds.
Aged. Sharp. The Short Spiky Grey fighters have been here long enough for color to leave — and found that what remained is more pointed than before.
Heavy, ceramic, purpose-built for one thing and used for another. The Giant Sake Bottle fighters are creative about their arsenal.
