Diary
Under the old bridge outside Kaminarikyo, Raikou once sat cross-legged like a monk chasing enlightenment, except the sacred text was a mountain of wasabi and the vow was self-inflicted. He told himself it was training, some ronin ritual to reforge the discipline he floor-priced away years ago, right before the first bite made his soul briefly leave his body and touch the void. Tears, snot, and a single tragic cough later, he understood true stillness, the kind that comes right before you scream into a river. He calls it humility now, insists the burn taught him patience, though everyone who watched him tap out mid-bite knows it just taught him regret with extra steps. Still, ask him and he'll say, slow as smoke curling off a joint, that he's a changed man, wiser, calmer, aped straight into the DAO of Wasabi and rugged all the way to enlightenment.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Bright but not loud. The Teal Daytime fighters are the ones you underestimate because they don't announce their arrival.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
War color, formal cut. The Red Warrior Kimono fighters dressed for the battle they expected and arrived at the one they got.
'Raikou' — lightning light. He moved slow and easy right up until the instant he didn't, and then it was over. These days he's mostly slow, and swears the smoke helps him think.
Formal vision. The Spectacles fighters approached clarity with the same seriousness they bring to everything else — completely.
Ceremony interrupted. The Disheveled Geisha fighters started something formal and ended something entirely different.
The floor weapon. Everywhere. Common because common is honest — the Rusty Nail fighters know that what you find is often better than what you planned.
