Diary
Assassin Fuzen once took contracts to completion the way other men take breath, quiet, inevitable, never leaving a mark undone, but the Dojo's tables offered a different kind of target and he aped his family's fortune onto it like a fool who forgot which blade cuts back. The koku vanished the way marks used to, silently, without ceremony, except this time it was his own bloodline's legacy laid out on the felt instead of some rival's throat. He tells himself the debt is simply an open contract, unfinished business, something a man like him closes eventually, though the ledger in his chest keeps a different, heavier count. Around Fusen he still moves like patience incarnate, still promises himself one clean night of discipline, one hand walked away from, and still finds his coin purse rugged by dawn, the shame settling in like a client who never pays. Misery suits him about as well as mercy does, which is to say not at all, and yet he wears it now the way he once wore silence, total, practiced, and utterly unrelenting.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Red moon, heightened stakes. The Red High Moon backgrounds mark the moments when everything was on the line and the fighter stayed.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
The standard-bearer. The Proud Dejen Kimono fighters represent the collection consciously — they know what they're part of and they dress accordingly.
'Fuzen' means incompleteness, a joke at his own expense before it was a name. The blade sent for the jobs that had to be certain — left with one last name on his list when the wars ended.
Carried more than worn. The Pocket Glasses fighters have perfect vision when they choose to apply it — the rest of the time, they let instinct run.
On fire, stable. The Burning Basket fighters operate in conditions most find impossible and have stopped noticing the fire.
Heavy enough to anchor an entire collection. Those who swing it feel the weight of __SUPPLY__ wallets behind every strike.
