Assassin Fuzen once kept ledgers for men who paid in silence, and now he keeps a ledger of his own humiliations that never balances. In the garden behind the teahouse he tried something soft for once, a serenade meant for the courtesans, his voice low as a blade sliding free, and a jealous patron's cane found his arm before the second verse could land. The bone healed crooked, a permanent asterisk on an otherwise flawless contract, and he has since filed the whole affair under matters closed, no further action required. Ask him about it now and he only tilts his head, patient as unpaid interest, and lets the silence do the collecting. He still hums in gardens sometimes, quietly, testing the discipline he lost, and the arm still disagrees.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Hidden in plain sight. The Night Forest fighters do most of their work in the dark — not secretively, but quietly. They don't need an audience.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Named for what it abandoned. The No Honor Kimono fighters gave up on the codes others follow and found that this freed them completely.
'Fuzen' means incompleteness, a joke at his own expense before it was a name. The blade sent for the jobs that had to be certain — left with one last name on his list when the wars ended.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Not born with them. Became them. The Grey Oni Horns fighters grew their nature slowly until it became structural.
