Diary
Assassin Fuzen once had a contract for every season, a blade with no wasted motion and a silence that unsettled men before it ever unsettled steel. Then came the Edo palace, a geisha with eyes like a rug pull waiting to happen, and vows exchanged under paper lanterns while his katana gathered dust in the corner like an abandoned mint. The Dojo elders called it dereliction of duty; Fuzen calls it the only contract he never regrets leaving unfinished. He still wakes some mornings and reaches for discipline the way a man reaches for a wallet he swears he still has, only to find he aped it all into marriage, sake, and the quiet, patient ruin of comfort. They kicked him out for good, but Fuzen just shrugs, sharpens nothing in particular, and waits, the way he always has, for the debt life owes him to finally come due.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Unclear until it clears. The Grey Mist backgrounds belong to fighters who operate where others can't see, and use that fog as their advantage.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
'Fuzen' means incompleteness, a joke at his own expense before it was a name. The blade sent for the jobs that had to be certain — left with one last name on his list when the wars ended.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Repurposed. Made for the earth, used for the fight. The Farmers Hoe fighters don't distinguish between cultivation and combat.
