Diary
Assassin Fuzen once took contracts the way a monk takes vows: silent, absolute, finished before the target ever felt the wind change. Then came Mount Koriyoka, a whisper of buried coin that pulled him off the one job he never closed, and somewhere between the scree and the tree line the money vanished along with his employer's patience, and not long after, his employer too. He came down the mountain a former assassin and something looser, quieter, worse at waiting than he used to be, though he still moves through a room like it owes him a debt. These days he sits in the dojo's back corner nursing warm sake and a colder grudge, promising himself that tomorrow he returns to the blade, to the discipline, to the mountain, tomorrow, always tomorrow, while the old contract sits untouched on the table gathering dust like everything else he swears he will finish. The dojo boys joke that Fuzen's most dangerous weapon isn't the knife hidden in his sleeve, it's the promise he keeps making to himself and never, ever keeps.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Neither dark nor white. The Light Grey background belongs to fighters who operate in the space between certainties and have made it comfortable there.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
No fixed allegiance. The Mercenary fighters fight for whoever offers the right terms and have never lost a battle when those terms were met.
'Fuzen' means incompleteness, a joke at his own expense before it was a name. The blade sent for the jobs that had to be certain — left with one last name on his list when the wars ended.
Formal vision. The Spectacles fighters approached clarity with the same seriousness they bring to everything else — completely.
Practical and armed. The Hair Bun With Chopsticks fighters put utensils in their hair and call it hair care — the dual function is not accidental.
A live chicken. As a weapon. The Chicken fighters have committed to an approach that nobody expected and found that unexpectedness is half the battle.
