Assassin Fuzen once climbed Mount Hotaka with the quiet certainty of a blade that always finds its mark, aping into the ascent like it was some floor he could flip before sundown. The mountain, unimpressed by contracts or reputations, rugged him somewhere past the ninth switchback, scattering his ambition across the scree like a position he forgot to close. He came down not enlightened but emptied, the kind of failure that doesn't shout but simply waits, patient as he has always been, for the next excuse to resurface. Now he tells himself the sake is temporary, a small unfinished task before he returns to discipline, the same lie every mark he's ever stalked believed about the time they had left. The bottle never empties fast enough to satisfy him, and that, more than the mountain ever did, might be the one contract he never manages to close.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Neither dark nor white. The Light Grey background belongs to fighters who operate in the space between certainties and have made it comfortable there.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.

'Fuzen' means incompleteness, a joke at his own expense before it was a name. The blade sent for the jobs that had to be certain — left with one last name on his list when the wars ended.

Mastery without ceremony. The Kung Fu Master fighters stopped needing to prove the title long before anyone stopped asking for proof.
