Fuzen once took contracts the way other men took vows, silent, final, unwitnessed, and for years the markets at Tsukiji knew him only as a shadow that priced fish and said nothing else. Then came the afternoon he made the mistake of listening to Yuji, some floor-obsessed hustler ranting about a token that would ten x by moonrise, and Fuzen, against every discipline his old dojo beat into him, answered back with an opinion. The words left him cheap and unsealed, like a blade drawn for no killing, and he still hears the market's laughter chasing him past the tuna stalls. Now he lives as a hermit in the hills above the city, practicing silence like a man practicing forms he's already forgotten, occasionally checking his wallet's floor price with the same dead calm he once reserved for marks. He tells himself the vow of silence is restored, unbroken, absolute, right before he mutters a price target to a passing crow just to hear how it sounds out loud again.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
The hour when most give up. The Blue Evening fighters are still at their desk, still watching the chart, still holding.
