Diary
Assassin Fuzen once moved through the Meiji Jungle like a signature waiting to be forged, a blade with no name attached to the hand that held it. He took the job wearing someone else's face, someone else's debts, someone else's alibi, the way a real contract killer should, patient as unpaid rent. Then the mark recognized him mid-disguise, the gig evaporated, and just like that the samurai who once mastered stillness got fired from being a stranger. Now he sits in the wreckage of that blown cover with a half-empty bottle of shochu and a notebook he swears he'll fill, muttering about a memoir titled something like 'Ronin, Rekt, Repeat,' though he's aped into three different opening lines and rugged every one of them by chapter two. He tells himself discipline is just a contract with yourself, and like every contract in his life, this one's still open, unsigned, and quietly, comically, never closing.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
The hour when most give up. The Blue Evening fighters are still at their desk, still watching the chart, still holding.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Explicit in every sense. The Fuck You Kimono fighters made a communication choice and wore it. No ambiguity. No apology.
'Fuzen' means incompleteness, a joke at his own expense before it was a name. The blade sent for the jobs that had to be certain — left with one last name on his list when the wars ended.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Named for sensation. The Splitting Axe Ache fighters' hair is named for how their opponents feel after they're done.
Musical instrument. Strung instrument. The Shamisen fighters understand that performance and violence are not opposites — they are the same act in different registers.
