Assassin Fuzen once carried his blade the way other men carried grudges, patiently, permanently, until the night his own confidence became the contract he couldn't cancel. He walked into the sake house certain of his hand, certain of his men, certain of everything except the outcome, and by the time the cups stopped spinning he had beaten the very soldiers he was meant to lead. There was no enemy left standing to blame, only spilled rice wine and the low hum of shame settling into his bones like a debt with no due date. He tells himself, most mornings, that discipline is a simple thing to reclaim, then finds his hand reaching for the flask before the sword, the old ronin habit of finishing what he starts betraying him every single time. Misery suits him now, quiet and patient as he ever was, an unfinished job he keeps signing up for and never, ever closing.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Royalty that refused the crown. The Purple Night backgrounds belong to fighters who could have been somewhere easier and chose not to be.
