Diary
Lovey Haruto once chased glory the way degens chase a hundred-x, pouring his last coin and his cracked heart into the men's pleasure house, dreaming of applause that never once floor-priced into anything real. The stress of it snapped something soft in him, so he shaved his head, folded his silk robes into a drawer he swore never to open, and knelt before Buddha with the same desperate hope he once knelt before painted courtesans. Now he greets every fighter in the Dojo like an old friend rugged by the same bad luck, pressing warm tea into shaking hands and whispering that suffering is just impermanence with bad marketing. He tries, truly he tries, to meditate at dawn, but the incense keeps getting replaced by a joint some kind soul left as an offering, and he ends up giggling through his sutras instead of chanting them. Still, when he smiles at a stranger and means it completely, you can see the monk winning, however briefly, over the ghost of the boy who once begged the wrong altar for love.'
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Unclear until it clears. The Grey Mist backgrounds belong to fighters who operate where others can't see, and use that fog as their advantage.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Ritual clothing for someone who crossed between worlds. The Bird Shaman fighters dress for the journey they're already on, not the destination.
'Haruto' — warm person. He fights with something that looks like kindness, until you realize kindness done right is the hardest discipline of all, and he never stops choosing it.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Architecture on the scalp. Each knot a decision. The Black Bantu Knots fighters make their choices visible at the top, where everyone can see.
Found. Not forged. The Large Branch fighters don't wait for the right weapon — they use what's available and are surprised when this needs explanation.
