Lovey Haruto still remembers the lantern light of Nagasaki turning gold to ash the night he aped his family's entire fortune on a single spinning wheel, smiling the whole time like kindness alone could cover the spread. It didn't. When the wheel stopped, so did generations of samurai discipline, rugged clean by his own soft hand and a stranger's crooked dealer smile, and he learned that a warm heart is no hedge against a cold ledger. Now he rarely leaves the Dojo, training students with gentle patience by day and, most nights, still sneaking a hopeful little side bet on the sparring matches, swearing each time it's the last, each time it is not. He tells himself discipline is just kindness pointed inward, though his coin purse would disagree, and somewhere under the floorboards a lantern he kept from that night still flickers, half warning, half invitation. Ask him about it and he'll disarm you with a smile before quietly changing the subject to how much he believes in second chances, especially his own.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
