Diary
Lovey Haruto once wielded a blade with the gentlest hands in the dojo, the kind of samurai who apologized to the men he beat before he beat them, and even now that the wars are gone and the vices have crept in like weeds through a temple floor, he still greets every stranger like they might be the Buddha in disguise. His latest quest for discipline began, as these things do, with a self-help scroll he half-read while stoned, something about purity and cleansing from within, and being Lovey he took it fully to heart rather than halfway like a sane man would. Alone in his quarters at dawn, cup in hand, he drank his own urine with the solemn reverence of a monk taking communion, and somewhere between the second sip and the aftertaste he swears he touched enlightenment itself. He has not stopped smiling since, floating around insisting everyone try it, that the floor of the self is closer than they think, that true clarity tastes exactly like humility and a little bit like regret. It is, without question, the worst path to discipline anyone in the Dojo has attempted, but nobody has the heart to tell him, because when Lovey beams like that, even his delusions feel like a gift.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Military patience. The Olive Green fighters do not announce themselves. They wait. Then they move.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Explicit in every sense. The Fuck You Kimono fighters made a communication choice and wore it. No ambiguity. No apology.
'Haruto' — warm person. He fights with something that looks like kindness, until you realize kindness done right is the hardest discipline of all, and he never stops choosing it.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Organization meets chaos. The Yakuza Hooligan fighters have discipline from one tradition and abandon from another, and they've combined them into something entirely their own.
Found. Not forged. The Large Branch fighters don't wait for the right weapon — they use what's available and are surprised when this needs explanation.
