On a street so crowded it should have swallowed any small joy whole, Lovey Haruto found himself doubled over laughing with Haru, the two of them leaning on each other like old dojo pillars that had long since forgotten their posture. Still he shows up every week, sake breath and all, promising his students that kindness can block a punch if you really, truly believe, and somehow, against all reason, a few of them are starting to believe him too.”
